From Page to Stage: Adapting a Book into a Play
How do you turn a book into a play? How do you condense hundreds of pages of words into ninety minutes of action? How do you adjust literary dialogue to make it actable? How do you decide what to keep and what to cut? In this hands-on workshop, participants will use DTC’s production of A Christmas Carol as a starting point to explore adaptation for the stage. Perfect for experienced writers and directors, or for those wanting to explore a new aspect of their creativity, all are welcome. Come ready to write and perform.
